If you notice your siding is peeling away from your home or has cracks, you may need new siding to stop the water from getting into your home. Sometimes the issue comes from further up on your home. If your roof is older or showing signs of wear, consider having your roofing contractor inspect for leaks. Water follows the path of least resistance and areas around windows are a prime place for roof leaks to show themselves.
Window Failure
If the siding and roofing are all sound, it may simply be that your windows are worn out. Over time older wood windows crack and split. Homes settle and window frames of any material can crack. If your windows appear to be the source of the water, talk to your local window replacement company about new windows.
